Update on Additives E 471, E 475, and E 476: Committed to Compliance and Quality at Lasenor

Recently, the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) revised the specifications for additives E 471, E 475, and E 476. The updated regulations now include limits for Glycidyl esters (GE) and the total amount of 3-monochloropropanediol (3-MCPD) and 3-MCPD fatty acid esters, expressed as 3-MCPD. It is worth exploring Lasenor’s stance on this matter.

Introduction

As part of our ongoing commitment to transparency and regulatory compliance, we, at Lasenor, wish to keep our valued customers informed about recent updates regarding the specifications for additives E 471, E 475, and E 476. These revisions, as reevaluated by the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA), now include limits for glycidyl esters (GE) and the sum of 3-monochloropropanediol (3-MCPD) and 3-MCPD fatty acid esters, expressed as 3-MCPD.
